Default noob folder question

I downloaded reaper and am going through the manual and trying things out.

I have a question about folders, I think I read that it can hide all of the tracks in there by clicking the button to the left of the folder track name, but it only collapses the size of tracks, they never completely disappear.

Am I missing something?

weclome to the forum

- click the icon again, the tracks become a thin line

- but tracks that are Armed for Recording do not collapse fully.

Nice graphic Darkstar.

I have noticed that the main folder for each group doesn't show the track number. Does this change depending on the GUI being used?

AFAIK folder tracks are never numbered.

Although I am open to correction.
