Default Smooth Merging

Hello all!
I've been using reaper for my current project for quite some time now.

One general doubt I have is about merging sounds...
Playing two tracks at once and rendering it as one file is quite easy, but... I need that two quite different sounds "merge" in a harmonious sound...

How can I do that?
(Hope my question don't sound too abstract, haha!)

Well, 'sound' is a bit broad a description .

sounds like you need to equalise the two sounds to get them to fit,

maybe upload an example here.

we did tested some alternatives changing equalization, but it didn't made good results.
we even used melodyne to make them match on the exact same pitch, but...

well... I'll post the results soon, and then we can discuss properly.
