Default 1.43 won't launch from installer
"Error opening file for writing." First time Reaper install has failed ever. Any ideas?

seem like your previous version of reaper was running during you install the new one. could be that it wasn t shut down previously

v1.43 installer worked just fine here, installing correctly over 1.42.

All I can suggest is a corrupted download, and that you delete the 1.43 installer and try again.

This is the most likely culprit.. You can launch task manager (ctrl+shift+ESC) and look for reaper.exe ...
