Default maintain level on consolidate or glue

how do you keep level untouched when using these processes?

for me, they always increase the level of the resulting file.

they do? Not for me, unless you have gain applied either in the item properties or using the item handle..

how much gain are you seeing?

peaks are hitting the top/bottom of amplitude range. i've never made changes in the item properties or the item handle. i don't even know what the handle is. hehe

i figured somewhere there is a level chg i dunno about.

btw, how do you select all items in a track without having to ctrl-click each one?

Doubleclick in the TCP, on the far left, near the track number.
