Hello! A have been recording my voice on new version of reaper, after I recorded another take, I soloed it to listen. I didn't like it and pressed cmd+z to undo this take. At the moment reaper blasted my ears (I was wearing headphones) with enormously loud click, although playing was stopped. Besides my vocal track there was only wav file with minus. I record my voice everyday, and nothing like that happened before
I use reaper on MacBook Pro m1 universal binary

I don't know why it happened but strongly recommend to enable one of the 'Automatically mute...' settings in Preferences in case something like this happens again.
What is this Rrreeeaaa time stretching algo? I noticed it today when using ReaTune and have never seen it before. Is there some info about it somewhere?
Edit: Just noticed that it's just the renamed polyphase synthesis stretcher.
Rrreeeaaa [...] Is there some info about it somewhere?
--> open the "media item properties"
--> then choose the time stretching mode "Rrreeeaaa" from the drop-down menu
--> then click the drop-down menu at the right side of the time stretching mode, where it says "click for more info"
--> then read carefully the first five lines.

Thank you for your response! But I already have this feature enabled.
Maybe I need to uncheck the box "Reset on playback start"?
No, it's useful when track is already muted. It's not clear what volume threshold is set. +20dB? It's too much.
No, it's +2dB )
And after a loud click, the tracks were not muted. This is weird, as if somewhere in the sound buffer there was a small piece of the sound, which stayed there after listening to the soloed track, and it broke out when the "cmd+z" canceled the previous action - soloing the track

It is more safe to set it to "Mute Master". Maybe also decrease mute fade to 0 or 1 ms.
