Can confirm behavior.

I'm in full support of this bug report.

Glue function should not eradicate *any* previous work!

Also: same thing happens with take FX that output stereo info: gluing such items applies the FX in mono, which is not how those FX are applied before the glue.

Also: "render item to new take" changes a mono item to a stereo item, whether or not there is a pan envelope or take FX, making the two above-described behaviors seem even more inconsistent.

Just wanted to bump this -- it would be nice if reaper either ignored the take FX and pan envelopes, etc, and after the glue reestablished the FX and envelopes, or if it would detect that the FX/envelopes are present and glue to stereo (the latter might be a can of worms, dunno.)

It seems like "render items to new take" does something like this... if a pan envelope or stereo-outputting FX are present, it renders to a stereo item. If not, it goes to mono. But gluing just discards that stuff, which can be a bummer if you don't notice until later. :-)
