Default Notes on tracks

Up to now I have been noting changes in an actual notebook but things are starting to get disorganised.

A notepad per track would be ideal. I found a discussion on this dating back a few years back and Schwa had apparently posted a plugin to the stash. I looked this up in the stash and someone has noted this does not work for 64 bits!

I have just glued a track and see that a notepad is added to the track as a consequence.

What is the easiest way of getting a notepad per track please?
The notepad that opens on loading is for the project as whole so that would n;ot be much better than my old disorganised system.

I have just clicked in extensions, notes, track notes.

So I highlight the required track, do the above and Bob's your uncle. That is easy enough.

Heda's Track Inspector is very useful for this (among many other things)

Using extensions>notes is a gat idea. Might save all the notes kicking about my desk.

My thought exactly.

On closer inspection I see the "Notes" has "Project notes", Extra project notes" and "Global notes"

What is the difference? And where do you insert all of these. The track note goes on a track and the item one presumably goes on an item but the others?

When I choose Track notes, this seems to be automatically places on each trach. So I can click on icon on each track and open them up. But where do I open any notes I make on a Project notes, for example?

I just assumed it kept the notes in that drop-down thing.

Thanks Pintspiller.
You mean the dropdown menu in the Notes section. So the Track notes are automatically placed on each track, from where I can open them up. And (I have just tried) the other Note sections do save anything I write in them but what is the difference between Project notes, Extra project notes and Global notes?

I have to say this is quite a good noting system. Much better than my messy notebooks, where I struggle to find anything.
