Catalina - developer cannot be verified

AU plugins cannot be validated in Catalina Logic Pro.

"Cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified" and/or "macOS cannot verify that this app is free from malware"

What is the solution for this?

Maybe so but you don't have a choice if you want it to work on Catalina. You have to sign with an Apple Developer ID from an account that costs $99/yr and then submit for notarization. It's a rather involved process that has taken developers - especially independent guys like me - a long time to figure out.
