Default Only 8 Send action sets

There are eight of these each :
  • Adjust track send 1 volume (MIDI CC/OSC only)
  • Adjust track send 1 pan (MIDI CC/OSC only)
  • Send: Mute track send #1
  • Send: Mute track receive #1

That's pretty limited for those of us actually using this. It's a limit I personally bump up against when designing my mix templates. These actions are supposed to make things easier, and if you only have eight sends, or eight receives, it's great to a certain degree(see below).

Two actions in particular stand out already.

Send: Mute track send #1
The OSC implementation does not cover send mutes, which is the reason I need to use these actions to toggle the send mutes on and off. And all that without feedback to my OSC control surface because there are only these actions.

I've got plenty of buttons and midi triggers, but only eight actions. Bummer.
Send: Mute track receive #1
A great concept with an featureless interface implementation.
Reverb sends get more than 8 receives a lot of the time. That's one aspect that needs extending.

There's zero feedback outside the I/O window of a track. You'll only know by looking at the send displays on the source tracks, which is what you didn't want to do by using receive mutes. Same for the routing matrix. It's send-specific, not for receives at all.

Even if you use the I/O window, it's a feature desert. No clicking+drag on a mute button there to toggle more than one send mute.
Shouldn't there be at least 16 of these actions, and a LOT more for receives ? 64 ? 128 ?

And what about adjusting receive volume levels for receive 1 of selected tracks ?

And OSC support for send mutes ?

I can control eight sends with midi learned controls, and that includes muting the automatable send mute.

8.

Like the 8-track from the 70s.

Like 8-track tape from the 1950s.

What's the problem adding some more ?

I mix films and shows. I need more (16/32/...?)so I can use my controllers instead of the mouse.

Please add some more.

I came here today to add a nitpick about send actions and you already have a post for it.

Send: Mute track send #1

This action functions as a toggle, there is no separate mute and unmute action, so it should be named as such.

Default Encoder and action list. Help!!!!

Hi,
This is my first message on the forum, so I'm sorry if I'm not in the right place to post my question...

I'm on linux and my midi controllers (x-touch mini + nano kontrol2) work like a charm.

But....I would like to assign one encoder to control the pitch of an item.
Easy to do that with the action list?

The fader or encoder control the pitch only in one way.
I can choose "pitch item down one semi tone" and each time I move the encoder (right or left) it pitches down the item.
But I would like to be able to to pitch it up and down with the same encoder!

Someone knows how to do it?

Thanks in advance for helping!

Its actually possible with custom action

You need to sandwich those pitch actions between these:
Action: Skip next action if CC parameter <0/mid
(pitch up action)
Action: Skip next action if CC parameter >0/mid
(pitch down action)

Nice. I had no idea this was possible. Thanks.
