Default Change Pan png per mode?

Can I use a different png for different pan modes? I'd just like to change the color of my width knob to indicate the different modes if possible.

Wow I was just about to make another thread for this...

Can anyone plz tell me how to do it?

I want different color knobs in Stereo Pan mode (already have that) but same color knobs in Dual Pan Mode. Can't figure it out and it's confusing not knowing what I'm looking at.

I'm using a modified version of Default Analog theme, so none of the fancy new theme features since v4.

How do I tell me theme to use a different knob for pan2 when in Dual Pan Mode?

Stereo pan and Dual pan use the same image.
tcp_width_knob_large
tcp_width_knob_small

You can create a sub-folder with the altered knob image and make a special layout that uses that sub-folder.

If you are using knob stacks, you can try making following and vary the size slightly by one or 2 pixels.
Then code WALTER with the specific size to select the knob stack you want.
tcp_wid_knob_stack
tcp_wid_knob_stack_1
tcp_wid_knob_stack_2

NOTE: The files listed above are for the TCP.
the files for the mixer will be be:
mcp_width_knob_large
mcp_width_knob_small

mcp_wid_knob_stack
mcp_wid_knob_stack_1
mcp_wid_knob_stack_2

Thanks LCS. I'm not using knob stacks and a special layout doesn't work for old projects though.

I see many themes that switch to sliders automatically when in Dual Pan mode, so I thought it would be simpler just to change the width knob image.

There is a third option I forgot earlier.
You can make the knobs the same size when in Dual mode and different sizes when in Width mode.

some Examples:
https://stash.reaper.fm/36920/Layouts_defaults_VCA.png
https://stash.reaper.fm/37892/Layout...Narrow_VCA.png
https://stash.reaper.fm/37281/Sesshin_defaults_vca.png

While this can work well in the mixer (MCP), it can be problematic in the TCP by creating alignment issues.

EDIT:
4th option would be to use a knob for the Pan and a slider for the Width to help identify the mode.
