Default Faderport reaper_csurf_fpxt.ini Button Action Settings?

hello:

i have been using the faderport config created by reaper users and really think its great. one thing i wonder is how other users have their device actions set in the .ini. since the package has been around for a while now i think people have probably settled into how they use the faderport.

rather than asking for a general use of the faaderport might some folks be able to post either their fpxt.ini file or the text of the button actions that they use? id really get benefit from looking through the workflow of their button actions.

thx- jr

I have modified the ini, to have specific actions for buttons, but it never did work. In the end I just use the default mapping/learn method in the actions menu to assign buttons...it's the easiest way. Not all buttons can be mapped this way, but there are a few.

It will work with V1 but it has to be set up as a control surface and disabled in midi devices; not sure with V2 because I don't own V2 and can't debug/code against it. As far as which actions, I think it really comes down to what one does the most, assign those to buttons.

you have no idea what you've just done for me, I have V1 and was racking my brain to get it to work. You're a life saver.

I can't remember now, but I think maybe the only thing I changed was the user button toggles the metronome? Maybe I changed more from the default, I honestly can't remember.

Anyway, here's mine:
