Don't know if this has been posted yet.

Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch.
Stretch your audio without the glitching, to turn it into a texture, stretch audio up to 10^18 power.(1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times)

Similar to what was used to stretch Beethoven's 9th symphony into a 24 hour event.

Default Velocity Curvers

Nice interface but causes some audio popping when playing manually. This can be improved by increasing latency. VelocityCurveSM.

Haven't found any audio problems with this one; does cause system to freeze for about two seconds each time a point is added/removed on the GUI graph. Piz midiCurve on KVR (look for "midiCurve" link about halfway down page).

Actually, save yourself the pops, hangs and crashes and just use this...

Fnequalizer by Oceanturtle is a very good and light (uses SSE) EQ with a brilliant GUI where things are as they should be with right mouse button controlling bandwidth (Q) and none of that hardware style knobs nonsense, only sliders for overall effect and volume settings too which are anyway both useful features.

on a more positive note, i have discovered an older freeware called blip (unrelated to blip1000 or blip2000) that made my day !

it is standalone but man oh man....it is a huge 64 x 64 matrix with 64 assignable samples and all kinds of patterns can be generated /'painted' into the matrix

wish the developer had done more though

U-he Tyrell N6 V2.0 released!

Due to non overwhelming feedback for V2 default skin, a couple of third party skins have already been updated from V1 to V2 as well:

Still can't believe Tyrell is free. Better than MANY payware synths and right up there on the all-time list.

Yup, my main concern on it is that it seems to output mono signals despite having two oscillators (unless you use the new chorus); it seems there's some trick to have it modulate panning but it should have it out of the box in the stock UI, which seems it doesn't have...

ALL Odosynths now recovered and in one nice package as well!
http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewto...873072#4873072

Try for example the 38911Bytes V4, one of the very best SID emulators, or Double Six XXL, a top FM synth.

Work here! ... Something to do Reaper, a small problem in general with limiters on master seems to have, and / or pursue the parent folder, I could not understand why, if I have a track record armed, and played into the microphone, I was still crackling and distortion ... (Oh no .... what should I do now, it worked fine yesterday) ... Buzmaxi3 until I turn exchanged, I for Classic Master Limiter, and TLS, but the same problem, the simple work around, simply turn while recording, playback, and playback is not affected .... hmmm .. I do not think Reaper is on fx on the master or ... someone could not get me wrong though.

I tried Tyrell based on the recommendations here, and I'm loving it. Not too deep into it yet but it's pretty fun to play with so far. Thanks for the heads up.

What an eyesore though...

I agree. Here are two much nicer skins for Tyrell:

Default Syncersoft- Saw landscapes

I just found this freeware vsti.

I like the colour of the sound and the simplicity.
Useful for some beautiful pads for me.
Have a listen here with some reverb on it.

And this is the place you can find it

I love Variety of Sound's stuff, but for some reason BaxterEQ does nothing on my system. It's like it's stuck in Bypass or something. (Reaper 4.22, Windows XP) Weird.

dimitris mentioned the Saw Landscapes plugin, but they also have the free Polyvoks Station synth, which I love. Has a distinctive sci-fi sound, based on a popular Russian synth from the 80s.

Guys be careful with all the Syncersoft stuff as it will install other things not related to the plugin. (you have to pay them to stop this from happening)

About BaxterEQ seeming to not work, that could just be because you didn't push it hard enough as the effect is subtle and just meant to add a little bit top and bottom end to the overall mix.

Also note that Pterosaur, one of Contralogic top synths have now been updated to polyphonic mode and other things, so if you want a "supersaw sound of the Roland JP-8000", try it out:

But his flagship is still Feldspar which used to be payware, I like it a lot:

DDMF sets ColourEQ FREE

If you don't already know, DDMF makes amazing EQ's and other plugs and sells them dirt cheap, so this could well be the best free EQ out there now (together with ReaEQ of course.. )

Waldorf Edition LE includes:

PPG Wave 2.V is the authentic reproduction of the legendary PPG Wave 2.3. that dominated many productions of the 80s.
Waldorf Attack is a very powerful and versatile drum synthesizer, beloved due to it's rich palette of sounds an intuitive user interface.
D-Pole is the prestigious Waldorf Filter with resonance up to self-oscillaton and beyond.

LE Limitations
The Attack LE is limited to the lower 12 sounds and 8 voices.
The D-Pole LE is the same as the full version. Its only difference is the LE copy protection.
The PPG Wave 2.V LE is limited to 1 MIDI Channel and 8 voices.

To get this, first go here and enter your name and email: http://www.beat.de/waldorf/

You will then receive an email with instructions for activating the licence, after which you'll receive your registration number and download links.

If the plugins don't start, install either or all of 2005, 2008 and 2010 Visual C++ runtimes packages from Microsoft, or try this trick.

Get Synapse Audio's DUNE BE (Beat Edition) for free here.

Without a doubt one of the very best free synth out there!

Only difference from the full version is lack of the effects section and no 64bit version.

Thanks for the link v-ger. You have to sign up for the beat magazine newsletter, auf deuche and my deuche is zero, but it was worth the pain, because that thing really does sound good.
