# Automation items: fix one-sample rounding issue at automation item start.
With Automation items rounding issue being fixed any chance of this too ?
This happens with Automation items as well as in arrange without touching anything.
If this is something that anyone knows how to fix or if it's a setting i would really love to know. Setting transition times just moves the problem by ms.

Hi Dev Team,
Thanks so much for all the useful updates. Can't wait for MIDI envelopes to come back. That was so useful.

VCA Plugin Paramaters
While you guys are working within the grouping and VCA bits in Reaper, is there any possibility that you guys might include the ability to group plugin parameters with a VCA fader similar to the way that Cubase does it?
This would be super useful for mixing quickly. For example, a user could put the same EQ and compressor on all of the mixing buss tracks. The user could then adjust the threshold knob on one compressor to adjust the dynamics across all the busses. Same thing could be done for global group EQing across all the busses.
There are some scripts like MPL's Mapping Panel, that would allow us to group plugins but it forces the plugins lock values instead of working relative to each other like the VCA volume faders work in Reaper.
A native solution to this problem would be really helpful.
If you guys need more examples or videos explaining anything, please don't hesitate to ask.

That sounds like a nice addition to Reaper's parameter modulation system.

A little update to my Waves-issue ( https://forum.cockos.com/showpost.ph...postcount=13):
I did some testings and found the following:
Project: A simple project with one track with one FX instance of CLA MixHub.
Test: Open/load previously saved Project file.
- Public release (v5.973 x64): Loading and reading successful!
- Latest Pre-release (v5.973+dev0318 x64): REAPER crashes
- Latest Pre-release (v5.973+dev0318 x32): Loading and reading successful!
Note 1: All (post public release) x64 pre-releases (dev0312 - dev0318) crash.
Note 2: The project file was created in v5.973+dev0316 x64 (pre Waves update).
Note 3: This issue appears only with the updated x64 version of CLA MixHub (March, 17)
First I was convinced it was a Waves issue, and that it had to do with their x64 version. But since everything loads and runs as expected using the public REAPER (x64) release, I’m not so sure. What do you guys think?
AARGH! I SO don’t want to mix using 32 bit REAPER on my x64 system ...

Valle - Can you trigger the crash, go to the task manager, select reaper.exe, create a dump image, then zip that image and post somewhere, emailing a link to support at cockos dot com. Thanks!

Regarding the subject of vcas, is it possible to simply have a preference that says child sends follow all parents? if this is not technically impossible and actually doable I think it would be hell of a lot easier than dealing with vcas or stealth sends which is what I'm currently using successfully

@Schwa @Justin :
Is it possible to revisit how Mute Envelopes work, as this behaviour seems related/similar to the one-sample bug from AI?
It's a real killer for pop styles that make judicious use of the mute env. The only 2 workarounds are
(1) messing with Track mute fade, which only fixes 1 of the two scenarios
(2) turning off snap and literally drawing the mute point slightly early. A terrible solution that breaks when doing any sort of copy/pasting.
The tiny fade should always occur slightly before the point, so that at the sample level it's either 0 or 1 exactly at the point location.

Waves crashing solved at the last 0319 dev build
I stumbled upon the same issue like Valle reported.
I'm not sure what exactly happened there, but I was able to trigger it not just with CLA MixHub, but also with their Scheps Omni channel strip.. not with their other plugins (but I hardly have just portion of their portfolio, though).
Only difference from others, which came to my mind was, that those two plugins in VST3 shell can take track name from the host.
Anyways, it seems to be running well with the latest build.
Thank you Justin!, really appreciate your quick remedy.
Michal

The two (CLA MH and SOC) are both based on the same (or similar) architecture; extra insert slot, reorder modules with drag/drop, etc. So that’s maybe one reason.
I don’t have SOC myself. Good thing you noticed and reported it. But, when you tried the v5.973+dev0319, did you experienced the “POOFs” like I did ( p=2110716)?

Hi,
I tried it again, even switching between 0319 and 0318 (portable version) and I haven't been able to make it crash in the newer build. I tried whole recalls, various reordering, plugin copy etc.
Whereas in 0138, it was always reproducible, simply by instantiation of affected plugins and loading one of factory presets.
So hard to say, why did you experienced that crash with 0319, as you've mentioned at other thread. Maybe some other variable or difference in environment compared to my system.
And sorry, I forgot to mention previously, that AR TG Mastering suite was also affected.
All the best,
Michal

The only issue I've ever had with the SOC was crashes while enabling the plug-in. This only happened when inserting the VST3 version on tracks with KORG or Native Instruments plugins as they were all VST2. So now I just use the VST2 version of the SOC and it hasn't crashed in months. One other issue with the SOC is the user plugin slot. I've had issues when inserting the Waves Stomp series into that slot. It will play fine, and save fine, but when trying to reopen the project Reaper crashes....but no POOF. I don;t fault Reaper for this, just some Waves weirdness.
