Default Loop Recording - last milliseconds in every take been cut off

Hi,

recording multiple takes within a loop but always the last few milliseconds were been cut off:

Also a little video which shows the problem, you may give the video some preload before starting by pressing "play" and right after "stop" to load it up first. Then press play. Otherwise it may not run smoothly, Sendvid is not the fastest platform but it should do the job. Hear that little gap/pause at the and of the take:

Autofade and any other fade options are switched off. Does someone know how to get these last milliseconds recorded? I don't understand why its been cut off.

Help is very appreciated because I want to switch from Ableton Live to Reaper but this feature is essential for me to have the same functionality as in Ableton Live loop recording.

Cheers and many thanks in advance,
Oliver

Seems that I found a bug https://www.reddit.com/r/Reaper/comm...in_every_take/

Please move this thread into the bug forum because I don't wanna crosspost.

Cheerz,
Oliver

just throwing this out there, but have you checked your take recording settings? There is an option to delete parts of takes, probably not the issue but worth checking. I don't recall exactly where that setting is, but has to do with loop recording.

I had this exact issue once. What fixed it for me was the following: Go to Preferences > Loop Recording > and uncheck "Create new files on loop". Hopefully, this can remedy the problem for you as well. Goodluck!

The problem is solved. "Create new files on loop" was already unchecked.

Problem occurs when Preferences -> Loop Recording -> section "When recording and looped -> "At each loop (creates new files) -> CHECKED

Just check "On stop (default, recommended)" and uncheck "Create new files on loop"

Thanks for your help!
