Default The Metalman Theme

A few questions about the Metalman Theme:

1. It appears there is a picture of a robot at the top. Is this thing really there on the actual theme? Can it be removed?

2. Where does a person store downloaded themes so they are available to Reaper?

1. Remove the toolbarbg.png in the theme's folder.

2. Themes are stored in Reaper\colorthemes

Tried deleting the png but no luck yet. I'll try again. I wish I could talk to the person who made the theme. I love it, but the only problem is you know those icons at the very top? They're blurry and need to be fixed.

The great thing about Reaper themes is that you can use different elements from different skins to make one that suits your personal taste. Don't like the icons? Replace them with others from a theme that you like better.

So would I just look into the folder that shows these blurry icons and delete them, and then find corresponding icons that I like and just put them in the folder?

Sounds simple enough. But I wonder if it would look good cosmetically.

Yes that's it. It's really quite simple. If I can do it anyone can because I have zero graphic arts skills. The way I do it is open up the theme folder and view as thumbnails. Then you can see what parts have what names. Then just copy and paste the elements you want to replace. I always make a copy of the folder I'm working with so I can make changes without fear of changing the original skin. Will it look right? Only one way to find out, give it a try. Soon you'll be moving elements from one skin to another with ease. One thing I love about the Reaper community is that most people who create the graphics for the various themes don't seem to mind us using them to make a custom theme that suits our own taste. But I always give all the credit to the talented artists who contribute their hard work to the community. Much love and respect to them all.

Default Hi 375

Glad you like the Metalman theme
As limeflavor and Teksonic mentioned
just replace any pngs you don't like in the
Metalman folder (reaper/colorthemes/metalman).

The theme started off by just mixing up themes so credit
goes to the talented graphic artists who made the elements.

I have stopped making themes now as I want to spend more
time making Music not drawing pictures!!!

Thanks
