Are you using the VST version or the DX version? VST works reliably for me. I have also recently picked up a very useful alternative on this forum, but for the life of me cant find the thread it was in. You might want to try searching on TT1 or alternatives & see if you can find it.
Not doing too good today but I`ll have another look when I can

I can try....

For a start, look to see if the program really has created a folder at C:\Program Files\my vsts etc like it says it has. I doubt it (that looks like an example location, and not a good one), but if it is there, pointing Reaper at that directory should work. If it's not there, move TTS-1.dll (and only TTS-1.dll) to your actual VST folder, and see if that works. If not, move it back.

Edit:

Wait, why? It gives C:\Program Files\my vsts as an example. Looks like you need to move waveshell.dll to your actual VST folder to start off with.

Now that`s odd! I have the DXi version in my current reaper! And a product I made using it still works fine.

I am left wondering if this is actually a 32bit DXi versus 64bit DXi thing.

Checking my old drives for the VST version & since it is still free with Cakewalk, I suppose I can legitimately give it to you.

Certainly will, but I have a total of 6.5 tb of disks to check, so it could take a while.

I just checked bandlab & also Sonar X3 Studio and they are both DXi version. Are you SURE you cnt get it to work in reaper??

I am using the 64 bit version of Reaper & the 64bit version of Windows 10 Pro and have no problems at all using the DXi version in Reaper.
Wondering why this is a problem for some & not for others.
I take it you DO have either Sonar or Bandlab installed & showing TTS-1 in its plugin lists?

I'm pretty sure no one can link you to this.

What makes you think it might exist?

Well good luck....I have a feeling that the poster who said they had vsti may have been mistaken. There is not one other mention of vst version online.

I wonder why the DXi crashes your system. It works fine here.

They are two different entities ... nothing to convert! Just place the VST .dll in your VST plugin folder and rescan.

Both will show up in your FX browser.Just choose the VSTi one.

Also,TTS-1 is essentially Roland Hypercanvas rebadged. You might be able to find that somewhere.

That woukld be me, Stella, & I am sure I DID have a VST version of it at one time. I am currentl wading through all my old stuff, including the earliest to latest Sonar cds I have but no luck so far. Problem is that I have a ton of hard drives and dvds full of misuc stuff & no idea where to start.
I really hope my memory isnt playing me false.

For what its worth, TTS-1 is, as far as I can remember, a sort of offshoot of the roland sound canvas that spawned the VSC multi instrument. And I cant get that to work reliably, whereas TTS-1 DXi does. Go figure.

Confirmation - I just found this on another website "TTS-1 is a one of a kind MIDI GM multi-timbral synth that was developed by Roland when they owned Cakewalk" so at least I got that part right.

They are also suggesting that virtual sound canvas is a better alternative to TTS-1 & DOES come as a VSTi.

Virtual Sound Canvas is listed as "discontinued".

https://www.roland.com/uk/products/vsc-mp1/features/

The soundfonts, OTOH, are available to those who know where to look.

If you can scrape up $15 USD, Xpand!2 is a great alternative to TTS1.

As a possible alternative Edirol Hypercanvas was available in DXi and VSTi. It's been discontinued but the OP might be able to pick one up somewhere. It is to all intents and purposes identical to the TTS-1.

Spent another hour last night looking & still no sign of the VSTi version... Not looking good.

To be brutally frank, there really are better sounding GM/GS vstis out there, Martimix. You might want to consider Stella`s suggestion of a used Hypercanvas. If you were in the UK, you could buy one of my two REAL HARDWARE Sound Canvases off me!
