Default Major Tom CPU usage

Not sure if this had been brought up before but I was trying out the new compressor plugins and noticed Major Tom is using up around 5% of the CPU. I'm running on an Athlon 64 3000. Is this normal? Do the JS plugs have a lot of CPU overhead?

I love the sound of it but it sucks I can't use it on more channels.

CPU usage depends on settings, but in general JS plugs take about 20% more CPU than native VST plugs written with a similar algorithm.

majortom uses about 2.5% on my core duo. Hasn't caused me a problem yet. If it did I would render FX to new take and move on. I've tried to do what optimization I can to remove loop invariants, etc., but it may improve a bit more over time. Don't expect miraculous improvements.

*edit* okay, sort of miraculous improvements. 25% better. look for it in a later release.

Thanks for the reply and glad you got it running with less. I love the sound of it and would like to be able to use it on 10 tracks if I wish.

Nice work.
