Cakewalk Rapture, no sound! Help.
OK, its an old vst but it was working and I love some of the sounds.
Now when I open it, I get a splash screen asking me to register.
I know that I've already done this so I looked through some old emails and found the registration code.
I put it in. The plugin worked.
Next time I opened it, the splash screen opened and the box where the registration code had been was empty with greyed out words stating that i had not logged in as an administrator.
I closed Reaper, and opened it again as an administrator and duly put my code in again. It worked.
Next time I opened it, you guessed it, the splash screen came up as before.
I opened again as administrator, put the code in and back to normal.
Next time I opened as administrator first and Rapture opened --- this time without the splash screen. This is good I thought, so loaded an instrument --- no sound. Since then I've been unable to get sounds.
Has anyone had this sort of problem? If so, any advice would be appreciated.
Some of my previous compositions that had a couple of instances of Rapture, no longer play the same of course. Total drag.
Trying to contact Cakewalk of course is impossible as they packed up. Their email no longer works.
Worst scenario --- I have to dump Rapture and substitute voices with something similar.
I don't expect much joy but thought I would put a feeler out just in case.
Many thanks
SR

do you still have CW installed? I think you need to have that installed still for the CW plugs to work.

Yes Poet,
Still installed.
Weird thing. I managed to get some sounds today very briefly. Then I could get nothing after that.
Intermittent probs are always a bitch to find, that's why I asked if anyone else had any weirdness with this plugin.

After it went bust, Cakewalk was taken over by Bandlab and is now known as "Cakewalk by Bandlab". There is still a very active forum where you might be able to get some help, try this link
