Default Topping E30 pop noise

Good morning everyone,
I recently bough a Topping E30 DAC, I am using the toslink optical
input. And I would like to know if there is a way to get rid of the small noise
that occurs when starting/interrupting/pausing a song or a video in mpchc and videolan, and also in reaper's timeline.

I was thinking that maybe reaper has an option somewhere to hide the noise every time you pause/stop the playback, or move the cursor while playing to go somewhere else in the timeline, something like a very short fade in and face out long enough just to hide these annoying pops during playback.

Although maybe such a fade in and out would be bad while editing, cutting de-essing, that sort of stuff, I don't know.

I'd like to try anyway (that is, if there is such a thing).

You didn't dream them -- look in Preferences at the top of the Audio section, there are "Tiny Fade..." boxes to tick. Give them a go.

That enormous sofa chasing you down the street shouting "Avast ya scurvy dog...". That's a dream*. Hopefully that's cleared things up for everyone.

(* At least I hope it's a dream)

Thank you very much, LugNut and SiddieNam, I'm eager to try that very soon

Any idea on maybe how I could do that for mpchc or videolan also?

Ah, sorry -- no expertise there I'm afraid. Good luck though.
