Default Dock any jsfx or vst separately

Background: I would like to dock any fx (no matter if jsfx or vst) separately, anywhere.

Example 1: Dock JS: Saike Spectral Analyzer (Alternative) anywhere.

Example 2: Dock MvMeter anywhere.

Just their main windows, no additional side menus.

This is not possible currently. Thanks.

Why would you want the VST/jsfx to dock in a docker?
The VST/jsfx can open in it's own window!

You also can place the window where you want.

Thanks. On a small laptop screen, I want fixed, defined placed for a few fx, so there are no overlapping window problems. (Imagine like Ableton Live kind of concept.)

+1. Now you can dock entire track fx window, but not plugin separately.

Exactly, I only need single windows, a few mentioned analysis/measurement plugins placed nicely into docks, so I can see them always, no matter what I do. The most important thing is to measure, thus seeing those values (while fine tuning). There is TCP/MCP visibility, nice, but there they are too small to be useful. Thus there should be a third option "visibility in a dock" not only in TCP or MCP.

Just chiming in to say that this is perfectly easy with a tiling window manager under Linux

But yes, I think the (more than a decade old) FR for an entirely (un)dockable UI would make sense:

Really, what is the best option? Are you using this yourself?

Yes, I'm using the i3 window manager. I needs a little bit of tweaking in a config file, but nothing scary. So on Linux I don't use Reaper's docker at all, it's all taken care of by i3.

I don't really have much experience with other window managers, but I remember there even was a tiling script for Plasma that seemed to work quite well.
