Default When do you use the TUNE knob on a synth?

When do you use the TUNE knob on a synth?
can you give me an example?

the seminotes and octaves aren't they enough?

when you want to tune the synth. (at the risk of stating the obvious)
maybe you want to be in tune with a sample or other instrument, or maybe you want to add an air of tension or whatever by having something out-of-tune with something else, or maybe a particular sound just sounds good or right when not in concert pitch.

hmmm maybe more useful with drum sounds i guess?

You use the tune knob to tune one oscillator relative to another..therefore creating many varied and interesting harmonic sounds

Yeah, supersaw sound still omnipresent in EDM is a bunch of saw oscillators slightly detuned to each other.

Something like a ring modulator or FM can make the root pitch end up, well pretty much anywhere. To get it in tune with a track you may need to bring it 30 cents down, as well as the octave and 2 semitones up to bring it to the same key as the track.
