Weird that I never noticed that before:
I have 2 programs saved on my Trigger Finger (USB device with 16 drum pads and faders):
- P01, sending on channel 16, for triggering actions
- P02, sending on channel 1, for actually entering midi notes.
Of course, the device is set to "Enabled+Control", the latter as "Force Channel 16".
Note that the
single pads are sending on the respective channel number (monitored it, it's correct), I don't set the channel with the "Global" slider.
Now this occurs:
- Trigger Finger in channel 1 (notes only) program.
- a rec-armed midi track (set to "All inputs" for now) in Reaper.
- I hit a pad, and the action, which should
only be triggered with channel 16 events, is executed.
No matter what I change, restrict the input to channel 1 only, filter it in ReaControlMidi to channel 1 only, the Trigger Finger is always treated as a control surface (and as a Midi input device at the same time).
Anybody got a clue what's going on here?
