Default Bug Reporting

Since a lot of you guys report a lot of bugs for Reaper's pre-release I thought some of you might be good candidates for testing a bug tracker app (Windows 7+ only).

Update: 0.0.5.230 Tweaking UI, added missing beta bits

HTML Export Pic

Installation:

Put the entire \Bugs folder in your system \Documents folder and make a shortcut to the executable file. The *.bug files are xml format and there is one sample test bug listing under the Reaper category.

Overview:
  • Work with unlimited different applications (2 built in).
  • Track, status, save, recall, export, report. BBCode, HTML, Plain Text.
  • Reports include fields for links to discussion and pics, videos.
The general idea of the stay on top app windows is to run it and document bugs along the way as you work and publish / submit them later at your leisure. By copying links to discussion and graphics you'll also have a direct reference to any bugs you reported from the app, no more searching forums for your reports.

Pasted BBCode output result from the sample in the previous post. BBCode Exports to clipboard.

Program / Feature Area:
  • Automation
Type of issue: (crash / freeze / wrong behaviour / annoying / gui issue etc.)
  • Wrong Behavior
Issue Description:
  • The delta on pan env. in-/decreases infinetly.

Steps to Reproduce:
  • Do something
    Do the other thing
    Try the other thing
    Not working
Expected Behavior or Outcome:
  • The delta on pan works correctly

[OS: Microsoft Windows NT 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 | 64-Bit: True | Processors: 8 | Total Ram: 8183]
Sample XML *.bug file:
Because the *.bug files are simple xml, the app has some nice implications for using a shared Dropbox folder for group reporting. That will be built into as a separate function, to switch over to a group directory to see everyone's reports.
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<Report>
  <Tester></Tester>
  <ReportID>033015084520</ReportID>
  <Version>R5 Pre 21</Version>

  <Area>Automation</Area>
  <Issue>Wrong Behavior</Issue>
  <Pending>True</Pending>
  <Fixed>False</Fixed>
  <Confirmed>False</Confirmed>
  <Submitted>False</Submitted>
  <Description>The delta on pan env. in-/decreases infinetly.</Description>

  <Step1>Do something</Step1>
  <Step2>Do the other thing</Step2>
  <Step3>Try the other thing</Step3>
  <Step4>Not working</Step4>
  <Step5></Step5>
  <Step6></Step6>
  <Step7></Step7>
  <Step8></Step8>
  <Step9></Step9>
  <Step10></Step10>
  <Expectation>The delta on pan works correctly</Expectation>
</Report>

Known Issues:
  • Because the application file has been obfuscated to protect the source code it will most likely trigger your anti virus on first launch. Restore or remove from quarantine.
  • BBCode generation bits are still a little buggy and may crash. Fixing.
  • Consider this a beta until it reaches 1.0. There is no help file so have a look through the menus and setup options.
