Default Insert Kontakt 6 on track

I've recently upgraded my Kontakt version. With v5, I had the option of inserting 8, 16, or 64 channel track sets and routings when choosing the VSTi. With v6, the only option is 64.

Is there a way to restore the earlier behaviour?

(More generally, is it possible to customize how software instrument is configured when inserted on a track?)

No, you only get 64 outs from Kontakt 6. Just delete the unwanted tracks.

And, no, there is no customisation, but it has been requested. You could set up different templates (4, 8, 16 output audio tracks) and use those.

Thank you.

Yes, I have some project templates with Kontakt set up the way I want it. Sometimes, though, I need to do an ad hoc insert. It's by no means critical, just. potential convenience.

^^^
You'll need to persuade Native Instruments to go back to providing different editions.

AAARRRGHHH! I don't think I have any hope of even persuading NI to fix things that are outright broken.

(As a retired computer programmer, I'm impressed by how they got the batch functions on the Outputs page to produce completely random results.)
