Default Reaper live for vstio

I would like to use reaper live, to control different vsti's,

So press a key change the track and different vsti responds and the previous one is disabled, but still using the same midi channel.

Any idea how I might acheive this or if its even possible?

Thanks a lot

Adam

you are in the spam trap - get out of here, quick!

you can put each vst on a separate track and then bind combinations of "toggle fx bypass for selected track" and "go to next track" "go to previous track" to keyboard shortcuts. then you need to send program change comands to select presets on your vsts (if those understand PC commands).

or you can have keyboard/midi button for each track and use "toggle bypass for track X".

or you can just use brainspawn forte, which is made for exactly this and save a lot of headache. that's what i do. reaper is an excellent sequencer, but not a streamlined vst hosting workstation for live playing.
