Is there any way to expand a .ReaperTheme file?

For example, the .ReaperThemeZip files can easily be turned into a zip file and uncompressed for customization.

How can this be done for a sub-theme (based on a .ReaperThemeZip main theme), that has the extension .ReaperTheme?

It's just a text file, you can open it with a text editor.

edit:
I'm not a themer but I think you can tweak what's in there also via the theme tweaker (action list -> Theme development: Show theme tweak/configuration window).

Thx, but I was hoping to unzip it in order to physically replace some item icon .png files that live inside the theme. This is not possible through the Theme Tweaker.

Figured out how to do it.

Just use the original .ReaperThemeZip theme file, unzip that, and replace the .ReaperTheme file from the uncompressing with your customized .ReaperTheme file (which contains all the theme tweaks you made).
