Default Synchroarts vocalign/revoice ARA2 integration

I´ve been testing melodyne ARA and it is just amazing how fast it is and how much it improves the workflow.
I would love for Reaper to also have the vocalign/revoice ARA 2 integration like Studio One has.

Examples:

Vocalign project 3
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=px_vPECf0_o

Vocalign Pro 4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stwZf3Ao36M

Revoice Pro 4
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFPLUirTRQ4

I haven't bought this plugins yet because the workflow with reaper is so cumbersome and you "waste" a lot of time BUT with ARA integration everything is almost automatic and soooo fast.

Reaper 5.97 has ARA2. Use trial versions of the plugins to checkout if they work for you.

IF you actually watch the videos you can see that there is work done by presonus to have menus/options integrated into the daw...

There are some ARA-related options for Melodyne, but I wouldn't expect specific options added for every ARA-enabled plugin...

There are literally only 3 plugins with ARA...
Melodyne
Autotune pro
Revoice/vocalign

The three of them widely used in the industry.

ARA-2 is a fix interface protocol. So every Plugin
which fulfills these protocol rules should work with a ARA-2 -
in theory. That encompasses Autotune and Vocalign.

You just have to try it.

Revoice Pro should be ARA2 hence it should work with Reaper (unless there is some glitch somewhere).

VocALign does not have an ARA 2 enabled version yet, hence it can't work with Reaper (unless Synchro Arts provides such a version).

So what exactly would you expect to see in Reaper's menus for Autotune or Vocalign?

Since apparently no one bothers to watch the example videos i´ll try to explain it...
Of course you can use all three plugins without technically any problems in reaper...but im talking about automated workflow thanks to ARA2 integration with the daw (in this case im talking about Studio One because it is the best example in this particular scenario). Which makes it so much easier and FASTER.

When you use vocalign 3 or 4 in studio one you hit in the menu "edit with vocalign" and a vocalign instance appears but it isnt tied to any track or item its like a reascript floating window waiting for you to select/drag the items you want to edit with vocalign. and you can edit the entire song with 300 tracks on that single "master instance" of vocalign.

With revoice pro among other things that i cant show because the examples are from paid groove3 courses...you can copy and paste items from studio one on revoice and viceversa.
Same as before you have the "edit with revoice pro" option included in the daw menu.
And you dont have to use the vst3 plugin link that was used to playback and transfer audio having to play it before (like with "old" melodyne)

Some info of the future 4.1 revoice pro beta release:
"The first thing is the APT (Audio Performance Transfer) has an automatic process group function. So what does that mean? Let's say you've got your guide vocal tracking and you've got ten backup vocals, you transfer them into Revoice Pro, and it will automatically create all the output tracks for you and name them for you... really simplifying the workflow. And then when you're working with ARA2, which has also been improved now, particularly with Studio One they're all automatically transferred back right away with names, it really is a seamless workflow."

You can see that there is clearly some communication between the daw and revoice pro with things like names/track order/copy&paste options/etc...

celemony have been working directly with cockos on this. send an email to synchroarts encouraging them to work together.

just curious, did you try the demos? I don't have a need for these plugins so I've only tried Melodyne which I already had a license for.

I haven't. Not because im lazy or not interested but because im slowly saving to buy revoice but it is a 500 dollar program so if im ever in a situation where i desperately need it for a project i cant "waste" the demo trial on this.

Maybe Synchroarts has some special relationship with Presonus and they just do Studio One plugins.

Why not try plugins that are delicately known to support multiple DAWs, to be more future proof.

Synchroarts claim to have free 14 day tryals for all their products.

Those actions are actually supported by ARA in general. We didn't add anything Melodyne-specific.

Synchroarts has been testing against REAPER and as far as I know everything works, although I don't know what version numbers on their side are compatible. They were in touch with us last week about doing a press release about ReVoice, VocAlign, REAPER, and ARA2.

When somebody did some testing he might want to update https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio_Random_Access .

Still no ARA2 Vocalign for Reaper.
Have they updated you about when possibly they will release this working version?
