Default WEB Browser Interface DOES NOT WORK with IPAD

Have Reaper enabled in firewall, using same local connection between my ipad and PC.

Nothing works.

I get an empty user name and PW box after entering my details.

What gives?

Is it the 8080 number?

Can I change that?

Driving me insane.

P.S. Fixed it by not using a user name and PW.

Hooray for Martin on marimba.

Thanks for posting this. It gave me hope, with the same frustrating scenario. After skipping username and password I finally got my iPad to sync to Reaper, after struggling numerous times (even though my phone did it in seconds). I can now sit behind my drum set and record without running back and forth between songs.

Something I'd like to ask - I wish there was a way to resize the web browser, other than minimizing my three additional tracks in, shrinking those additional tracks in Reaper. I guess switching to portrait on my iPad is an option.

Kind regards,
G

This is the best I can do on the iPad in landscape mode.

It seems Liine Lemur with Binder is still the better option:

Thanks for offering the link. More for someone using it to manage Reaper remotely for detailed changes. I on the other hand, are only arming all of my drum tracks, recording, stopping, disarming and playing back. Then moving ten feet back to my desk for edits.

I mainly used it to remotely start/stop guitar and mic recordings.

But Lemur can also be used to adjust synths or even play them (instead of using a keyboard):
