Things will gwt better for you, I'm sure... I lost my job a few years ago and thought it was the end of the world... A few months later I got an even better one about 5 minutes from my house... Life is funny but it's the best show in town...

Number one I'm trying to use the book with v3.66

Number 2 on page 34 introducing Reaper number 3. to make sure the output is set to stero. Can't find the button. Where is it? Bottom left corner I've got a tab called mixer. I have master lower right of screen.

First welcome to Reaper and the forums, good purchase on the book BTW. It really may help to load up the version that came with it to work thru the book tho as some (many) things have changed (been updated) since and it just might be a bit easier to follow. Just a suggestion.

On to your question....
On the Master, it's the top button to the right of the VU meter. If you click on it it should alternate between Mono & Stereo output. (Above the "io" button)

Thank you. I did find it. Interestingly the next page has a picture showing the vu meter on the bottom right of the screen. I think this was just a typo in the book as it is where it is.

I did a quick scan of the book and I think I'll be able to get most of it with the latest version of the software. I also got the Reaper Power book so I will be able to move on past the basic stuff. You can expect that I will be here with a bunch more questions as time go's on.
