Default ARA2 and Harmonic Editing in Studio One 4

Just thinking out loud... In Studio One version 4, ARA2 compatibility and the Chord Track / Harmonic Editing (Chord Track influence on and Chord Detection from polyphonic audio) appeared as new features at the same time.

Does this mean that if REAPER also supports ARA2, the objects and methods needed for the same features exist?

Just sayin'...

Reaper does support ARA2. So you can simply try it out and then ask specific questions regarding the workflow.

So REAPER has the ability to tag MIDI notes which appear to be part of a chord and to give them a chord spelling. This does not exist in the PRV however.

Not sure if this information is available in the REAPER API and if it is of any help in your efforts.

Yea thanks I got that as a button "Chords from MIDI Item" that sends them to regions.
Reaper writes them as Notation Events "Text" you can see them in the MIDI Editor if you select Notation Events lane at the bottom.
