Just realized I posted something similar 3 years ago.
Someone replied with some good info.

Still I'm not having much luck with the window and attack times.
Maybe its not the right tool.
I am having difficulty with the midi output using ReaTune to convert a wave file to midi. I am trying to take simple melodies, record them on piano and then output them to midi so I can share the notation with band members.
I am using the City Piano vst for play back. There are numerous times where it drops down an octave or more on the conversion.
Is there a recommended window size, overlap, attack time and algorithm one should use for this?
I have it set to prevent octave shifts and overlap and manual correction and track pitch.
Also I set the min to C3 and max to C6 but still get transient C2s.
The scale I recorded is from a simple Yamaha ESRP403 set to grand piano.
I know I can just take the Yamaha and record a melodie to a midi track but sometimes band members provide a wave file melody so I was trying to use ReaTune following KG's video

Also what would be the latest version of ReaTune? Perhaps I am using an older version.
Thanks
Joe
