Default How to move a selection to new project

I have a 3 hour live recording with 2 tracks, guitar and vocal. I need to cut each song out of that and put each of them in new projects of their own to process and ready for creating a CD. I've spent all day looking at tutorials and reading forums and I give up...can't figure out how to do it. I know it's probably simple *face palm*, but please advise
Thanks!!

Hi.

Your best bet for this would be new project tabs.

From the main menu goto file, new project tab.
Then you'll see a new unsaved project at the top left, and a tab.

Then after you have cut all your songs, select the items, then copy, then paste them in the new project tab, then save each project separate to process.

Hope this helps.
Regards,
Wyatt

Wow, thanks so much, Wyatt! Just tried it and worked like a charm. Now I realize I was searching with the wrong questions all day, because I was so unfamiliar with how Reaper works. I didn't know what I didn't know!
