Adjust step-size horizontal scrolling?

Hi,

one thing that bothers me is the lack of smoothness when it comes to horizontal scrolling of the arrangement window. It appears to be a matter of the "step-size", not of performance of the GUI itself.
For if I use the scrollbar on bottom of the arrangement window, I get a perfectly smooth scrolling experience. But when I sport the two finger swipe via trackpad, the step-size appears to be 30 pixel or so - which feels snappy but clumsy.

I am aware of the 1% SWS extension, but it can't be mapped to both directions (and doesn't feels perfect either).

Is there any workaround/hack to make reaper more "professional" and Mac-like in this department?
