Default VST3 plugins not recognized when switching between Mac and PC

I am currently using both PCs and Macs, and I switch between platforms. Most of the plugins load fine, but some won't load on the other platform, respectively. This is apparently the case when the developer (for reasons unknown to me) doesn't name the plugins the same way for both platforms.

As far as I can recall, I've had some success re-naming the VST3 plugin in the VST3 folder, but some plugins don't load even when I name them exactly the way they are named on the other platform.
They do show up, but as "broken", even though they now have the new name I gave them in the VST3 folder. A newly loaded instance of the plugin works fine when loaded on the platform I am working on at the moment, but then won't load on the other platform, even though they now have the exact same name after I changed it in the VST3 folder.

Is there a solution for this?

Thank you!

It should resolve the plug-in by its VST3 FUID. What plug-in has this issue? It's possible the FUIDs differ between platforms for that plug-in...

Thank you, Justin!

The latest plugin where that happened is Limited-Z from LVC Audio.

Where do I find the FUID? Can I change that myself?

Has re-naming the plugin no effect at all? IIRC, it did work a few times.
