Cableguys Volumeshaper midi trigger?

Hello!

I recently bought the Volumeshaper 5 and want to know how to have it recognize a midi signal from within Reaper. I set the Volumeshaper 5 to "Midi one-shot, beat mode" but it just perpetually ducks.

If anybody has any experience, I would appreciate your input!

Hi, I followed all of these steps correctly and my secondary "Ghost Trigger" midi clip does seem to trigger VolumeShaper 5 correctly, but there's another problem: all the MIDI notes in the synth track that has VS 6 on it are triggering VS6 too, not just my Ghost Trigger MIDI track... what am I doing wrong?

EDIT: It seems to be working correctly with an AUDIO track in Reaper, but not with a MIDI Virtual Instrument track. How do I get this to work correctly for the VI track as well?

Even though the video was in Russian I just followed along the best I could. Basically you have to change the settings in the I/O section on both tracks and they both have to be set on the same bus (MIDI Bus 16). I tried using a different bus other than Bus 16 like in the video but it didn't work, I don't completely understand how all of this works the MIDI Bus 16 is working perfectly so I'm at least happy with that.

side chain midi not working for me. tried the russian video. I swear I end up on this thread every year or so when I try cableguys volume shaper and I kick myself in the same part of my a** when it doesn't work.
