Default MIDI editor wishes

Since I often work with MIDI, it bothers me that I always have to switch between the Arrange/main window and the MIDI editor window. So I have to switch to the Arrange/main window when I have to load or edit a VSTi or draw or edit MIDI items (cut, move, mute, loop, etc.). The MIDI editor window loses the MIDI selection and becomes inactive for keyboard shortcuts. Now my request is to have a MIDI editor in which I can create a whole MIDI song without leaving the MIDI editor window. This means creating new tracks and loading/editing VSTi. Create and edit MIDI items (cut, move, mute, loop, etc.). I have drawn some ideas into a screenshot. Further suggestions are welcome.

How many screens do you have? I would imagine a dual-screen setup could alleviate some of your issues.

I have a 27 inch screen with 1920x1080px resolution. I only want to work with one screen. So it would be good if Reaper was optimized for it. So a 1-window solution.

I just run it fullscreen and use escape key to close it.

I use dual monitor setup. Solves everything. You can't have everything on one screen and that it's ergonomic enough, no way - it's always going to be a compromise.

Another possible alternative would be using a 43" 4K display, which is 4 1080p displays stacked into one. Should work great.

Thanks for the answers. I will consider the proposed alternatives and find a solution soon. :-)
