Focusrite and reaper.
track seems to be recording when I bang on the piano. During replay it gives this msg Error initializing ASIO driver
All the focusrite bits have been installed. Reaper recognizes it. the ASIO is focusrite USB

70 year old piano player with new toy and no experience with recording.

Hi Tripe,

Can you post a screen shot of your driver settings? (Options > Audio > Devices) What kind of system are you on (Windows, Mac, or ?)

You may have the ASIO settings ok for the INPUT from focusrite, but don't have the OUTPUTS set correctly, or some such thing. I just think this is the first place to check.

Sometimes there is a conflict in how your computer is set up to playback audio vs. what is set inside Reaper (or any other DAW).

Once you get it straightened out, things get better. Being able to tell us what is set driver-wise will help the gurus on here to help you.
