Hi Alef,
I hope you can benefit as much from this forum as I. I am only a few months into Reaper. Twice I decided that Reaper is junk and posted a question to verify my opinion before deleting Reaper. I always got answers showing that my thinking is junk and Reaper is OK. I ended up paying for a beta for the first time. I would not have continued studying Reaper without the support of this forum. My only problem is that Reaper is so fun to play with that it takes time away from what I really should do (music).
My learning curve is rather steep. I knew nothing about DAWs when I started. A big problem for me is that the excellent documentation assumes that you have a solid general background in daw technology and terminology.
