missing VST-plugins / REAPER (6.18) / WINDOWS 10 Pro

Hi there,

some 3rd-party VST-64bit-plugins are not shown in my REAPER (6.18 / 64bit) running on the PC (with WINDOWS 10 Pro (64bit)) in my rehearsal room.

While the same plugins work perfectly in REAPER (6.18 / 64 bit) on my iMac (with OSX 10.14) at home.

In order to see if it is a general operation system problem, a plugin installation error or a license problem with the iLOK-dongle, I installed TRACKTION 7.2.1 - in which all the plugins are shown and work.

So I can exclude that it‘s a problem with WINDOWS 10 Pro, the Plugin-installation or licensing through iLOK.

It seems that REAPER (6.18 / 64bit) on PC with WINDOWS 10 Pro (64bit) just doesn‘t recognize the following plugins (while another DAW on the same PC does...).


Decapitator, Little Plate, Devil-Loc Deluxe, Sie-Q (all by SOUNDTOYS, version 5.3.4, 64-bit, VST)

Smasher, MU, EchoRec (all by PULSAR, 64-bit, VST)

Free G (by SONALKSIS, 64-bit, VST)


Has anybody an idea what I can do that REAPER recognize them??

Hi and welcome to the forums!

I suspect that you will need to locate where the SoundToys installer places the plugins & add that location to your reaper vst locations window, then do a clear/rescan which should get them up and running again.

As to the other two, I don`t use their plugins but I expect it is a similar situation.

Anyway, if you didn`t already do it, DO check out the free user guide and the free video tutorials at reaper.fm if you need a refresher course on basic setup.
Just had a quick peek at my own SoundToys plugs & they are indeed right up to date. version 5.3.4 I think...I have a lousy short term memory these days.
