XTC/VSTim DSP Integration
I have been using an XITE-1 for a year and a half now for all of my live and recording needs.
I also have another DAW where I just use Reaper for automation of external hardware. It's 960ppq is incredibly stable and has been tested even on large Midas and Gamble consoles, as well as a Strand Light Pallete 520I.
But I have been told that the DSP plug ins and instruments we use could be drug into tracks of Reaper and fully automated.
Who is the chap I should speak to that is actually developing Reaper x64 ?
I really appreciate this as I find this to be a really nifty way to automate an entire live production, and also seems like a great way to record.
Thanks In Advance..

Brotha' Man...............Ithink that's it.
I am hoping to get a link to the man somehow.
I just started noticing how much Reapers mixing scheme can route like the Scope Platform, and have some questions to confirm before I start this quest.
For example a mirroring of the Scope Mixers, the track to track routing could bring in AUX busses and even Sidechained mixers like SpaceF has got.
I am hoping toget confirmation.

So glad to see a fellow DSP lover here.
ReaInsert looks even better for me.
I especially like the way I have MIDI on the same track for the automation.

What exactly are you getting at XITE-1/4LIVE?
I have been using XTC-mode with REAPER for a long time. It has it's issues, but that is not a REAPER problem. S|C needs to fix those.
Here is more on this:

Hey Voidar....
I never tried it as I was happy with hardware, but I built a new 64bit DAW and the XITE-1 64bit drivers are still in BETA but work great in the areas I need for my personal gig.
But there's some troubles with the synths being inserted into the tracks using the XTC mode. This rig will be totally automated so total recall is what I need as someone else will be running this DAW and a second XITE-1.
It seems that ReaInerts and some SWS MIDI stuff would be easier for an Audio Playback Engineer to deal with.
I want Reaper on the LCD to control all of the live mixed tracks, while Scope and KOntakt 4.1 can be fully automated making the engineers job a simple mixing chore.
I am confident that S|C will iron out the wrinkles, but it appears as though ReaInsert and the SWS MIDI extensions are solid right now.
In this way I can move forward w/o any delay.
On the other hand the 64bit BETA I am using now works flawlessley and several Modular IV issues were resovled like the realtim Tape Delay....etc.
They have done an incredible job, so I am buying a second unit.
I just can't wait for XTC in 64bit to be perfect. Soon is a word that I am accustomed to. It means weeks or months which I do not have.
In my business New Years Eve and Janurary are when the contracts are made.
I have to be up and running for pre production by Octobers end.
So Reaper to the rescue...
Glad to see you are doing well.
