Imperial BlackHawk Theme

In Post #4 ernzo, pointed out how the Theme looks on this laptop, Fixes have been Done, you will find BH1 & BH5 on the Stash and in Post#3 you will find BH2 through BH4.

Thank you ernzo for pointing this out! I have told others in another thread that this theme was for personal use only, but I changed my mind as I have benefited from White Ties Imperial. It will resize down a little, you will need to try on your setup.

Imperial BlackHawk is my customized Imperial theme from White Tie. It has many parts (Images mostly, and a Transport with code) from other themes and is also stripped down from the Imperial theme. The TCP only has two views with no controls as everything is controlled from the MCP.



I have not changed the envelopes or MIDI editor yet, it still is the default imperial from White Tie.

It has 1 'divider' (You will loose a track) and one 'track divider' (You do not loose a track), divider is on Right side.

The Track Divider was made so that I don't loose a track and my controller will not have a "Dead track".

The MCP only has a few different looks depending on what the track is for. it's also wider to display things better and to match my Control surface.


The Control surface is a Peavey StudioMix, hence the name you will see on the mixer.

The theme is also has it's colors adjusted from the theme adjuster (Made it a little darker) and I use windowBlinds dark theme named 'Night Shine'
Remember the Reaper theme does not theme everything..

Feel free to try, and use of get some ideas on how to change your theme

Zips are here!

Unzip BH1 and place the file.Folder into the REAPER/ColorThemes folder.

Unzip BH2, BH3,BH4 & BH5 and place those files into REAPER/ColorThemes/Imperial_BlackHawk_V580 folder.

The BH1 and BH5 zip files Will be on the stash


Then select the "Imperial_BlackHawk_V580" theme and then set the Layouts under "Options > Layouts"

For the Mixer I use the "BlackHawk White Fader"

You need to select the StudioMix as the Master.

What you got is little problems I'm still working on.

Once you select the StudioMix Master it should work correctly,

The Master is designed to work on the Right side.




A few people asked for me to provide this theme, as I said it's for personal use, but I decided to clean it up some (Remove needed files from the Folders) and release as is.
I guess that I need to run it on other PC's at different Display Settings.

@ernzo,

I think your display size is right at the edge of it working correctly, Do you have the status bar hidden?

Also go through "Options/Layouts/Mixer Panel"

and set to BlackHawk Mixer White Fader, Also set the Master to StudioMix.
I need to make the transport to work at under 1300px wide.

Remember this is a Imperial theme (modified) for large screens and I'm trying to make is work on smaller screens.

That should make some things better.

Every thing look good on my Laptop (1366x768), except for the mixer being cut off at the bottom and I cannot resize it without really messing up the display.

Please excuse my inexperience with themes but, when you say copy the files from the unzipped BH 2 to 5 to the folder in BH 1. Do you mean copy files or folders?
There are lots of files with the same name that get overwritten if I copy files.

You are correct in that there are many files with the same name, that is why they are in 'Folders'.

Unzip BH1.zip and place the file &Folder into the REAPER/ColorThemes folder.

Unzip BH2.zip, BH3.zip,BH4.zip & BH5.zip and place those files & Folders into REAPER/ColorThemes/Imperial_BlackHawk_V580 folder.

The BH2 - BH4 are in post#3

The BH1 and BH5 zip files Will be on the stash

The reason that their are so many zip files, is because it's way over the size that I'm allowed to upload as 1 file.

Thanks for answering. I stopped being idle and loaded the folders 2 to 5 into folder 1 and gave it a go. Just to see.
Well, what do you know, it worked.

You also need to manually set your start and finish folders for the MCP to look and work correctly,

I make the Folders in the TCP, then set the MCP to match.

i like it a lot, from what I can see, but...... I can't resize the mixer window which means I only see half of the first stream in the tcp. The display is at 1920 X 1200 and set to 125%.
I am investigating.

ahhh. I think I see. These and the other Imperial based themes have to be used in dual screen.

Am i right?

Yes, I'm using 3 screens:
1) 22" (1920x1080) @125%
1) 23" (1920x1080) @150%
1) 34" (2560x1140) @125%

It will resize a little, I am working on slowly getting it to "size" smaller for a 1 screen use.

Remember that you can use the screen adjuster to Darken the theme, if needed.

I have done everything according to instruction I think. I have extracted the BH1 folder and copied the folder and theme file to the ColorThemes folder in the Appdata roaming folder. And then I extracted all the other BH 2 - 5 folders. Those folders contained folders also when etracted. So I copied those folders to the Imperial_Blackhawk_v580 folder. And then I chose the Blackhawk V580 theme inside Reaper. I get the look from the picture I will attach.

What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated to get the looks of the pictures above in the theme.

(Max size of an image is only 64kb here so I had to make the image smaller...:-( )

Are you using a laptop?, it does not work well with laptops.
also the mixer should be full screen.

If you mean the TCP, then no, not yet!
