Default Best way to apply Melodyne?

I've inserted Melodyne Editor on a vocal track and done some pitch correction. But I don't know how to 'bounce' that onto a new track 'post-correction'.

In Sonar I'd highlight the clip I'd worked on and use 'bounce' command which made a new clip on a new track with the Melodyne corrections applied. In Reaper I've tried Item/Apply track/take FX to items as new take, and that's now given me two clips on the same track, one pre-pitch tweaks and one without, which seems wrong. I need to delete the pre- one.
Am I on the wrong track here altogher?

John

I assume you mean you now have the "pre-pitch" and "post-pitch" adjusted clips. Actually, they would likely be called "takes" (you're not used to working with takes in Reaper apparently). I actually like to keep them just like that. You can of course remove an individual take or move one to a second track. Right Click and look at the "take menus"

Thanks. Yes, one is pre- and one is post, well the pre- one is either, depending on whether the FX button is toggled red (off) or blue (on).
I assume the 'bounced' (i.e. rendered/permanent) one is the one on the bottom, there being no other way to positively identify it as such?
