Default how to restrict editing to a specific element of a MIDI drumset? [solved]

is there a way (without exploding MIDI to separate tracks) to restrict MIDI note editing to just one drum element like the snare?

I'd like to create a snare roll with velocity ramping up while other drum elements continue to play along. If I select just the snare notes and start drawing ramps in the velocity lane, it affects all other drum elements that are playing in the same time range as the selected snare notes. Is there a way to restrict editing only to the desired drum notes without affecting others?

Can the filter in the MIDI editor be used to show only certain notes by MIDI note number?

yes, this seems work, thanks. However, it's a bit cumbersome to do it this way. Would be great if there was another way to accomplish this.

Works for me? I marquee select some notes in the midieditor on the piano roll, then I can draw velocity in the "control pane"

you are right, it now works here, too. Thank you!

I must have been doing something wrong. It's important to place the mouse to the right of the first selected event while starting to draw, else, only the first event is adjusted.
