rpp file becomes corrupt after a while
I use Reaper to mix, route and do some light equalization and transmit and receive audio for my software defined amateur radio station. The PC, station, and Reaper, pretty much run 24/7. Setup is as follows:
Presonus Studio 192<--(ASIO)-->Voicemeeter Potato<--(Voicemeeter Insert Virtual ASIO)-->Reaper Radio Software<-----------(ASIO)-----------------^ I hope that ASCII art is understandable 🙂 I have to use Voicemeeter as an ASIO patch panel since Reaper has no way of entertaining two ASIO devices at the same time (the radio software and the Presonus interface). The radio software and Voicemeeter never, ever have a problem. Reaper will start to act up after a few hours, throwing pops, clicks and other glitches. Quitting and restarting Reaper *without* saving the project will sort that out for a few hours more. However, after two or three days that no longer works. No amount of restarting of Reaper will stop the glitching. Nor will restarting the PC or any other manipulations. I have to delete the copy of the project (.rpp) file I'm using (even though I've never made or saved a change) and make a new active copy from a backup. Then the cycle starts over again. If someone wants to look into this I can supply the original, good, backup .rpp file and a corrupted one. Reaper is the latest version. This problem has persisted through many version updates. First time posting here. I'm a pretty experienced DAW user (Pro Tools, AudioMulch, Audacity, Reaper) and have no problem using the tool AFAIK. If this needs to move to the General forum please move it. Thanks, aa |

You might want to use some compare tool (e.g. Notepad ++) to detect the differences between a working and a not working copy of the rpp file.
