AU plugins not recognized
Hi everyone, I'm on a MacMini with Mojave, planning to set up Reaper and GarageBand for writing and recording demos and sketches. So far, VSTs working nicely on Reaper as it was expected. Then I realized Garageband only works with AU plugins. I thought "no problem" but yes Sir, it is a problem!
Right now, only plugin I've managed to get recognized and working in both DAWs is Spitfire Audio LABS. Anything else, from installable packages to simple drag and drop components remains a ghost for both. I don't really need them to work in Reaper (since I have them VST too) but the fact Reaper won't see them makes me think it's something OS related? Or am I just missing something pretty obvious? I'd really appreciate a hand.

The latest mac Os versions may require a reboot after installing AU plugins in order to activate them.

Have you had a look at
System preferences/Security & privacy
Sorry, don't have a Mojave box next to me atm to check if plugins are blocked, but you need to go there anyway to give your DAW's access to sound input.

I used to do that all the time in Windows, crossing fingers it'll do the trick. I'll know tomorrow.

Mojave asked permission first time I launched Reaper and seems to give Garageband (as might be expected) permission by default. It doesn't seem to be that.
Thanks, guys!

Jackpooooot! Such a silly thing, now it's gonna be tedious to install all that stuff, but happy tedious.
Thanks so much for the tip, Xenakios!

There is a rare issue on Mojave atm. A Radar has been filed.
Logic doesn't allow some samples. Not the same every time. And just a few of the thousands of samples on the machine.
This could be related, I think.
