Rock Pi 4B
This seems to be the most powerful and nonetheless cheap hardware for running Reaper on a RasPi -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4p9EpjA0ZM

Moreover the device can be equipped with an M2 SSD, so you can easily have a TByte of fast storage for samples, recording or playback.
What sample player plugin can be used on Reaper/Linux/ARM ? -Michael |

I hadn't even looked for any since I only have 1GB on my Pi. You could load up REAPER's own Sample-o-Matic with one of those 2GB or 3GB drum kits that Tod created for an initial stress test.
I actually started to do that myself and before downloading one of his kits it dawned on me that my 1GB of RAM is also shared as graphics memory for video and his smallest kit is 512K or something, so I blew it off at that point. |

Reaper owners could be inclined to use Reaper on a RASPI as a super intelligent door bell

How compatible would this hardware be with Raspberry Pi based images? Would Raspbian work on it?

Interesting! Linux Sampler has direct from disk capabilities, and Zynthian has already proven that everything can already be done with the standard Raspberry Pi, so this more powerful board has my interest. I've always wanted to build a linux touchscreen tablet to run reaper on. :-)

I have about 35 or 40 Pi 3Bs right here next to me. They're pretty cool little gizmos. One of them runs the music center in my house.

One of them hosts the complete (SIP based, "Asterisk" software) PBX for the the small company of a friend of mine. Being a consultant, he is going to install such for some of his customers' companies, as he found that Asterisk can do lots of elaborated tricks.
