Looks fine. Nice touch with the border. So far no colour clashes with my tinted tracks.

There was a nice mod someone did with highlights of the TCP track number. Might be worth including. I integrated it via search/replace. It's not for everyone though.

The "Large" MCP layout is missing from the default, which hopefully shouldn't be hard to integrate. I'll take a stab at it today, or would you rather do it yourself ?

Airon... please do go for it...

believe me, I got no ego and no hooks on this... I'd be happy to see as many variations as anyone wants to put up.

I did see that black number patch and though I understand the concept... I did not totally love the implementation... perhaps there is another way to solve the same problem? ...since it's only on the tcp panel when selected [right?] I'd think that just a larger section of black on that area but without any yellow border might work well ????

Hopi, nice addition of the yellow border to selected track Better than what I did in the idx number track yellow border... I wanted to do what you did but I didn't know how.

hey did you steal my mixer layouts? hahah

Thank you for this thread. At first I was like.. oh.. WTF with Zora? Then I realized he must be joking and it was quite funny But you never know because the world is full of crazy people!

heda... thanks for the kind words... so hey, feel welcome to add your own touches...

it would be easy for you to unzip the theme to a folder and see how the border is done... it's not a big deal.

It is always a bit of a question as to what is the best 'border' color but anyone can pretty easily change the orange I have used.

The only thing I can suggest if you get into doing this with the needed pngs for a theme, is to pay attention to the special pink... you will likely always need to extend that pink at least one pixel in both directions to control the added border color.

oh now I see how the pink pixels work like protecting the area from stretching... that was exactly my problem. Thanks!

Now I see the border sometimes is green sometimes orange or yellow. depending on the track colour because I use tinted TCP backgrounds. No idea why.

White Tie has a pdf up here about how to use 'special pink' ... and special yellow... it's a MUST READ for theme makers!

Ummmm color changes yeah, can vary with the colors you set for the track...

On the theme I mostly use that border is a bigger lipstick red line... fast to see but most people would not love that much border...

just a note...

Brado231 noticed some icons missing when used with the newest pre's and added them ...and his version is now what you download from the stash... so if you ARE using this theme, you'd likely want to get the latest version.... the stash link in still the same, only the theme has been changed to protect the innocent.

FYI.. The images that I added to the theme were for the following things in Reaper 4.5:

MIDI Editor Track List toolbar button
MIDI Editor Media Item Lane toolbar button
All MIDI Editor Track List buttons (Record, Mute, Solo, Insert, Edit, etc)

Thanks to jnif for pointing me to the locations of most of the icons.

Thanks for this Hopi, with my Faderport it is awesome to clearly see which track is selected.

good... yeah it's important to me also and I bother to add that border to themes I care to use...

for most themes it's not that hard to add, just to a few of the tcpbgsel and mcpbgsel pngs at least...

Hopi

This is a great theme! Attractive and still very legible. If I can't read it, I don't care how "cool" it is. It's very clean.

How do you change the sends color? I've tried in Preferences in this theme and normal Default and I can change it in the preferences but doesn't seem to take effect on screen.. Stays black. I'm talking about the sends level. Not the color of text.

Your name is Faderjockey and you can't change the colors of the the sendlist faders ?

You have to edit these images, which are in the ReaperThemeZip file, with an image editor. You can open the theme with a zip program. Also have a look into the subfolders of that theme. Could be that some layouts need some different pngs.

there are some changes in 4.5 version for the midi editor track list. i.e. the track solo button is displayed as a S button, but here is being displayed as a ! symbol
Also missing the track list and media lane toolbar icons.

figured out... just copy all the new files from the default 4.0 (unpacking it)

also in the theme file
these lines are new in the default 4.0 theme.. for the color of the midi editor track list.

midieditorlist_selbg=6709842
midieditorlist_selfg=14540253
midieditorlist_seliabg=15790320
midieditorlist_seliafg=0
midieditorlist_bg2=13421766
midieditorlist_fg2=0
midieditorlist_selbg2=8420199
midieditorlist_selfg2=14671839

Hey, thanks heda ! Didn't know that ! Maybe i'm now able to color the tracklist without affecting the colors of the midi event list. Something i was asking for a million times ! Have to try it out !

the fader text color is uuuuuugly

and the mixer layouts besides default & sidebar will get cropped when nesting tracks. besides that, I dig it.

I am using V2, and am not sure if these "updates" have been applied....

Or do we need to do some manual editing?
