As i was doing a fade with piano, where the piano gets darker as it fades out, i discovered that the high shelf eq turned into a lowpass when i set it to large negative values.
The problem here is that the Q of the lowpass filter was much smaller than the Q of the high-shelf, so that when the slider got automated down to the min. value, it actually sounds brighter than an almost min. setting.
