Default What the... How did I do this?

Somehow, someway, my FX Chains folder now shows just about every fx on my computer. I don't know how it happened and I can't figure out how to fix it. Any ideas?

on the left hand side, there should be "categories" and other different filters.

you probably selected "all plugins", which is the option at the very top.

below that (might need to fold down the option list by clicking on the + icon) there should be more filters/categories, like "VSTi" or "VST" and by default I think there is one with just the standard Reaper Plugins called "CockOs".

edit:
oh wait, you said fx CHAIN window... my bad, I was talking about the main FX browser.
might be the same type of problem/solution, though?

Yeah. The Chain folder has everything in it. I'd like to empty it and start over but I can't seem to find a way to empty it.

If you navigate to the actual folder in your Reaper resource path does it have a file for every plug in there?

On the top Reaper menu, Select "Options" and scroll down to "Show REAPER resource path in explorer/finder..".

That will take you to Reapers main folder where you can select the "FXChains" folder. From there you can do what ever you want to with it.

Thanks. I figured that out. Everything's okay, now.
