Default Bilateral (L+R) modifier shortcuts

(Not sure if “bilateral” is the right word though.)

Hi, how are you?
Today it struck me that the number of available key or mouse modifiers (and thus key or mouse commands) could be increased if REAPER would differentiate left and right modifier keys.
And this addition shouldn’t affect the current system, because until the second eponymous key is pressed modifiers should be treated as universal, “uni-sided” (as they are being treated now).
For example,
Ctrl+A
Ctrl_L+Ctrl_R+A
etc.

Would it be even usable? I don’t see why not.
When running out of options why can’t a user desperately press
Ctrl_L+Alt+Shift+Win
with the left hand and
Ctrl_R+Up
with the right one?
Moreover, some might be able to spread their fingers wide enough to reach the modifiers on both sides of the space bar using only one hand.
It’s not much harder than to play an octave on a piano.
They would get to use such combinations as:
Alt_L+Alt_R+Mousewheel
Cmd_L+Cmd_R+double click
etc.

So, what do you think?

You've currently got over 1400 available shortcuts on a standard keyboard...you're really running out of options? In such a case, I'd suggest learning about alt+walking the menu instead of trying to create and memorize thousands of shortcuts.

How do you do that (the alt+walking)?
Doesn't the menu close once the Alt key is pressed?

If someone has managed to memorize over a thousand elements he or she likely can do a thousand more.

And there's another angle.
I like paired shortcuts:
{}
[]
<>
,.
Left Right
Up Down
etc.
And convenient ones (left Shift+Z etc.).
And alphabetic ones (A for “all” etc.).
And I like to include the arrow keys into key commands.
To summarize, I’d like shortcuts to make sense (more or less, but the more the better).
And there can’t be too many sensible key combinations.

Plus, as far as I know, such a feature would be unique to REAPER, which, I believe, around here should be considered a good thing...

If you seriously need that many key shortcuts maybe you should look at Radial Menu (see my signature). All of the menu buttons can have keys assigned so the whole thing can be used as a chain of key commands.

Unless you disabled it in preferences, a press of alt should focus the menu, then you can press any of the underlined letters in the menu to walk through the entries. So by default pressing alt, f, and o in sequence gets you to the open project dialog. If you like doing things that way you can edit your menus to modify which letters do what in a given menu.

Thanks. I see... It's the long way.
I mean, Alt then F then O instead of just Ctrl+O.

This topic is not about some time-sensitive problem.
And it's not a search for workarounds.
It's not even a request. It's more of a suggestion.
